Kieran joined us a few months ago and has been working away in the background getting used to the terminology and technology associated with the CCTV, Access Control and the Public Address industry. His role is to be heavily involved with Pro-Vision’s sales team dealing with enquiries, providing quotations and sorting out any queries that arise in our busy sales office environment.
Kieran has been working in sales and customer service for the past 8 years. However his new role at Pro-Vision has given him the opportunity to expand his product knowledge and work in a larger sales office environment.
In his spare time Kieran has a passion for classic/custom cars. His interest has led to him modifying cars and exhibiting them at shows all over the country as well as learning as much as possible about the whole car scene. We’re sure that Kieran’s enthusiasm, willingness to learn and hunger for knowledge will be a real asset to Pro-Vision and wish him every success in his career with us.

The new Wisenet WAVE video management software (VMS) from Hanwha Techwin makes displaying up to 64 high definition video streams almost effortless.
Hanwha Techwin already offer an entry level free VMS called SSM as well as for sophisticated Enterprise level VMS projects. Wisenet WAVE has been launched to answer the needs of projects in the middle ground with an emphasis on simplified user experience.
An intuitive ‘drag & drop’ tool makes it extremely easy for operators to set up a display of live and recorded images on a single screen or video wall with customised layouts and sizes. Other key features include a virtual PTZ, which with just simple clicks of a mouse enables operators to zoom in to see close up detail of any suspicious activity. Motion detection and video analytics support can be configured to generate alerts when user defined incidents occur. A wide range of smart, keyword, calendar and time-slice search options facilitate rapid retrieval of recorded video.
Wisenet WAVE offers a wide range of options to allow users to choose how and where they wish to manage their video surveillance systems with minimal hardware requirements.
Desktop: Wisenet WAVE is offered as software that can be installed onto a user’s desktop running Windows, Linux or Apple Mac. 24 to 64 live high definition video streams can be managed on 32 and 64-bit operating systems.
Cloud: A cloud-based service can be remotely accessed by an unlimited number of authorised users from anywhere in the world to offer a hardware-free, cost saving way to take advantage of all Wisenet WAVE’s functionality.
Server solutions: Wisenet WAVE is available as a pre-loaded out-of-the-box server or as downloadable software from their website. This enables operators to view up to 64 high definition streams of live video. A supporting web-based application allows each Wisenet WAVE platform to be managed as a standalone system or as part of a larger, scalable video management solution. The application also provides an audit trail, real-time health monitoring and camera failover support as well as reports on server health and storage status.
Mobile: A mobile app provides the opportunity to remotely access the key functions of Wisenet WAVE from a smart device to enable ‘on-the-road’ users to view and respond to any incidents captured by Wisenet cameras.
When you need to extend Ethernet services beyond the general IEEE 802.3 limits of 100m and the cost of new fibre cabling is prohibitive AMG Semi-managed switches with extended function offer the perfect solution.
AMG's Industrial Semi-Managed switches with an extended operation feature provide Ethernet with PoE/PoE+ up to 250m. There is no need to use any other device in the network path to the remote device.
The switch operates on a per copper port basis at fixed 10Mbps duplex and supports up to 30W PoE+ power output. The SFP port(s) can operate either 100Mbps or 1Gbps depending on the application requirements. Semi-managed switches can be daisy-chained effectively and easily even when cameras are multi-casting – i.e. as the data is not sent between copper ports it helps prevent data flooding and storms.
